CBM 2010 Shows Off the Best of Cebu in Tourism Track

"Get Inspired! Go Green!" This is the call of Cebu Business Month (CBM) 2010 in celebration of the 97th founding anniversary of the Cebu Chamber of Commerce and Industry. One of the winning industries of Cebu to be highlighted during the CBM is Tourism. A wide-array of green products, services, new technologies as well as sustainable strategies, eco-trends and clean technologies will be showcased during the event.

"Shop and Dine Cebu"will give great treat to everyone as discounts, promos and special rates will be offered during the month-long celebration. Participants of Shop and Dine Cebu are various Cebu retailers, hotels, resorts, restaurants and other food establishments. Discounts on merchandise items, on the other hand, can be availed at the Great Cebu Sale on June 22-24 at the Summit Hall 2 of Cebu International Convention Center (CICC).

To showcase the best of Cebu in Arts and Culture, local and home-grown talents who have made waves in the national and international scenes will inspire us with their versatility in a series of mall shows and a music fest in Robinson’s Mall, Parkmall, and Ayala Center Cebu. The music fest will feature songs and dances which are ecology-inspired.

The "People Enhancing Opportunities, Propelling Leadership Excellence" (P.E.O.P.L.E.) a talk show launched last year will continue to inspire a lot of people to be model entrepreneurs. The success stories of people in business, industry and the academe will be highlighted. P.E.O.P.L.E will be staged at SM City Cebu on June 19.

The Green Tourism Congress is a whole day forum in which local and international speakers will share their expertise on Green Retailing, Green Sports and Adventure Tourism, Green Culinary Arts, Green Countryside and City Tours, among others. The said Congress which will be held at the CICC will give special recognitions to individuals from the Tourism industry who have contributed to Cebu’s tourism growth through the years.
